The Fed's Rate Relief

Since last week:

The market was trying to figure out how to proceed given Fed Chair Warsh’s recent speech. Fed Governor Waller has another idea.

1. Governor Waller Speaks

Recent words from Federal Reserve governor Christopher Waller grabbed the market’s attention when he stated that an inflation report next week would influence how he feels about possible rate hikes at the next Fed meeting. He was confident that things were trending positively and that a hike wouldn’t be needed. This is in contrast to Chairman Warsh’s recent comments. We will see which way things move in a week’s time, but it is important to continue investing in a way that your assets are protected regardless of which way the Fed leans. Click here to learn how to do that.

2. Gold Pushes Ahead

Gold liked what Waller had to say, as evidenced by its price moving up. This is a continuation of a recent upward trend and one that will have sustained momentum if the inflation news is good. Gold is an asset traders should keep adding to their portfolio and you can learn about the best names to include by clicking here.

3. Palisades Comes Back Online

The Palisades nuclear power plant was shut down in 2022, with plans to decommission it. Instead, it’s on the path to restarting, with workers beginning to load fuel rods into the reactor vessel. There is still a long road and a lot of testing ahead, but this is just one way the nuclear power renaissance is taking shape in the US. Between shuttered plants reopening and new facilities being built, people who invest in nuclear power are going to do very well over the coming years. 4. Apple’s New CEO

Apple has a new CEO in John Ternus. What to Look For

Watch for next week’s inflation report and how the Fed will proceed from there.
